Caps definitely pass. They probably wouldn't even do that for Miller.

Interesting from the Capitals perspective. People are far too quick too dismiss trade offers than includes teams prospects as I feel as fans we over value our own. Boeser gives the Caps a legit top 6 winger for 2 future pieces, and McMichael who played like 6 minutes a night in the playoffs for Peter Laviolette (when he was even in the lineup I may add). I think it's a possibility, although I think the Caps need more speed, and team defence rather than another goal scorer.

Nylander and Sandin for a UFA next summer we wouldn't be able to keep, and a LTIR contract that prevents us from accruing cap space.

Sounds good, Leafs accept

Hope the Rangers trade isn't serious. We have no interest in Pearson.

Iorio is not that great of a prospect. McMichael doesn't have hang end talent. And a 3rd. For a 99 point player and you wouldn't do it while youre in win now mode. Hahaha no chance the Canucks would do it for Miller or Boeser.

Good because Caps are doing it either. McMichael will be a top 6 center and Iorio has top 3D ability. Caps are spending that for 1 year of Miller.

It's not a good take your guys type thing. It's a classic case of overvaluing your own prospects. Ovechkin, Backstrom, Carlson, Oshie have maybe one or two more kicks at this. McMichael and Iorio aren't likely going to be world beaters. Not saying you have to do it, just that if you wanted to improve your team, which you should given the age of your stars, this would be peanuts to give up and extremely unlikely youd get that type of talent for so little.

Can spend that package on a younger, cheaper, better player. Miller is fine but he has 1 more year on his deal then will get a huge raise Caps shouldn't try to get into. Caps have this 4 year window and need to get someone that will be along for that long.

I personally wouldn't do the Caps deal, but I'm really high on McMichael and Lapierre. I would say it's fair, and I could definitely see Brian MacLellan being interested in something like this.

Ya so that's it. If you are talking about Miller you aren't going to get a better player. For Boeser he is young. But I think 4 yrs is a stretch. It's gonna be the next couple seasons then the window is closed and it's rebuild time. Having McMichael and Iorio at that stage doesn't nothing (because they aren't high end talents). If you traded for Miller you could extend him and try and extend the teams window a couple more yrs with Ovi in a smaller role. Of course you'd have to gi ve up a lot more for MIller though, not to mention someone better and younger than Miller.

Yeah pass. Like I said, can go out and get Ehlers for that package and I'd rather have him. Younger, better, signed longer.

Ya that's just it, you don't get Ehlers for that package either. Younger yes, better well he did have about half the points MIller had (that's better right) and brings limited intangibles. There is no need to worry about age when he's younger than your aging core.

Ehlers would put up so many points if he was on good team. His play driving and analytics are so strong. And yes that package would get him if WPG was going to move him, which I wouldn't be too surprised if it did.

His analytics are good. Oddly he isn't trusted that much. Didn't seem to change with the coaching change either. Either way you wouldn't get him for peanuts like that.

If they are blowing up it would but don't think WPG is going to blow it up just yet. They need to get a better coach.
