Description
Looking for some feedback. Trading Giroux and Ghost to Colorado, need for need. I need some opinions on this trade? Is this even feasibly from both teams point of view. I'm not good with NHL players and contract trade values.

    Landy/Duchene for G/Ghost might be a wash since Duchene has more value than G and Ghost has more value than Landy but when you add AMac there is no way COL would do that deal when they are trying to get younger and shed some cap.

    no i think he is right. Why in the world would the Avs assume Giroux's and Mac's contract? Giroux had a disappointing season and Landy is younger and is cheaper. Doesn't make a lot of sense for the Avs to do this deal.

    Thanks for the feedback. So do you think we could get Landy and Duschene for a package of Giroux/Ghost and maybe a 2nd and/or 3rd round picks?

    For a team trying to rebuild (COL), the trade would need more than these roster players, especially since you include someone older like Giroux, who still has term. A first and a different D prospect like Sanheim or Myers even. Ghost is a great OFD, but not a franchise building block that Colorado would be looking for, in my opinion.

    Also, would rather play Stolarz than Nilsson for 5 years smile
