As much as I would love to have Tom Wilson in a Leafs jersey, he is NOT any sort of Kawhi comparable. I get the connection to the Kawhi/Demar trade here, but Washington fleeces Toronto here. Like how do the Caps manage to get Lilegren, Knies, and a 1st on top of Nylander?

Cause they got rid of Mrazak.

Mrazek contract = Knies +1st & Wilson = Nylander + Lilje

Agreed that value isn’t quite there but you conveniently left out a 3.8m cap dump for 2 years of a G that might play 20 games per season. That’s the 1st. I’d got as far as to say the trade needs to add Carlson going to a Toronto and Muzzin and Robertson going to WSH. Not looking at cap so not sure it fits but value wise and making it a legit kawhi quality move

Without being a biased Caps fan. I’d say it would be 1 for 1.
Maybe Toronto adds if they truly felt Wilson was the missing piece, but nowhere near that package.

Or the most ridiculous thing. This site is funny for stuff like this. Plenty people will claim "TOR can't just dump this contract on team X for nothing" but will then post something outrageous like this.
