Just my opinion, I think it would be a mistake to gather all those three Quinn brothers on one team. Too strong a clique in one dressing room worrying about their brothers instead of the team.

There is pretty much no package that would get Vancouver to move Quinn. Offer Bratt, Mercer, Holtz, and 2nd overall and they're probably enticed to do it but that package is obviously ridiculous. Just isn't going to happen. Devil's best hope is Canucks suck when Quinn's can contract expires.

That would be a ridiculous ask. Hughes is solid, but he’s not worth that package at all

I'm aware and that's why I said that package is obviously ridiculous. The point is the Canucks just have 0 interest or willingness to move Quinn. Not only is he incredible but he is also are only dman that creates offense.

To further my point. What would new jersey want from vancouver for Jack assuming Petey, Quinn, and Demko aren't included?

I'd imagine the package would probably be something stupid like Boeser + Hoglander + Podkolzin and even then I could see the argument to preferring Jack.

Well Jack Hughes is better than everyone else on the Canucks roster (Pettersson would be a close second), and Quinn wouldn’t be the best player in Jersey. They aren’t comparable players..

Then you get into a positional talk, where good top pair LHD aren’t typically untouchable guys. Legitimate 1Cs are much harder to pry out from another team. One happens, one doesnt.

And I don’t know why Jack Hughes was brought up by you in the first place. Being a brother does not mean you’re a comparable player, otherwise Jared Stall would have been a first liner in the NHL

How on Earth is Jack Hughes better than Pettersson? Seriously, tell me with a straight face in what way is Jack better than Petey? And don't look at point totals, because we all know that Petey wasn't at his best for the entirety of the season the way Jack was

Jack Hughes is worse than Pettersson and Hughes. Jack had a good season this year but was cut short. Pettersson started off rough but basically scored at the same rate as Jack Hughes in the second half of the season. Pettersson has also provided a lot more offensively and defensively.

Despite his rocky start, Petterssons basically scored at the same point pace in the second half of the season as Jack Hughes

Quinn is a franchise dman. If you can't see that then I've got no reason to argue with you.

Jack Hughes had more even strength points than Pettersson in 30 less games. If they don’t have Recchi as the powerplay coach, he could’ve put up some even crazier offensive numbers. But they’re both great players. So let’s not argue over it

Point to the evidence that says Jack Hughes is better than Eli’s Petterssons. I’ll wait. Before you say that Jack Hughes had a better PPG this season, just remember, Jack Hughes has had 2 disappointing seasons in his career.
