None of those UFA signings happen except for MAYBE Sheahan but I'm not sure Yzerman would sign him. Toronto declines the first trade quite easily and Detroit declines the second trade. Now if Detroit were to sign a good center like Copp the Suter can be traded. He is Detroit's 2nd best center even though he is more of a #3C.

I feel Yzerman is gonna receive Monahan with some assets and pay maybe a 5th for him. Basically a dump trade or whatever you wanna call it.

Thats how I feel Yzerman will address the 2c spot

I'd roll the dice on Monahan for a 5th.

I dont know exactly if it will be a 5th but you got to feel Calgary will look to dump Monahan to extend Gaudreau and Detroit just seems like a spot he could end up besides Seattle and Pittsburgh

I think we will end up with a center like Monahan, Copp and there are a couple more that could end up in Detroit. If it happens I think Yzerman would choose to move Suter before Veleno.

Suter is a rental. He'll either be traded this Summer or at the trade deadline.

This is kinda funny to have to say it... but Bunting is older than our core players, with the only exception being Bertuzzi (who I am open to trading due to his age and back injury history). So, while that's a price I'd pay (though TOR would not accept), I'm not sure I want Bunting.

Rookie of the year candidate Michael Bunting. LOL Take Bunting away from Matthews and Marner and see how good he is.
