Gotta think Veleno and Berggren make the team. Can't see Stevie being this aggressive. Fabbri likely won't be ready to start the season.

Might be a little pricy with some of those signings,,,,,but like the idea. Wings have the cap...just wonder if they might want to save some cap for next years UFAs

Re-signing Larkin and Bertuzzi to contract extensions is more important. Plus Raymond and Seider down the road. Yzerman might sign 1 or 2 UFA's but I can't see him going full Kenny Holland.

I think Copp and Trochek might be a good fit. But you're right...see how the cap situation next summer after your own UFA are signed.

Not so certain...on veleno or berggren.. Not at their fault just yzerman WANTS to keep in one spot all year .. Depends on camp/preseason performances. But i can see both veleno & bergy down in GR since Joe kinda off n on stuggled to produce..or up here.. & yzerman WANTS to be more competitive for playoff spot asap..especually if local kids interested in coming back or home.. Listen to "red & white authority" recent pod.. 😉 about the aggressiveness with Ufas

I think Stevie already has an idea in what Larkin & bertuzzi are seeking meaning they'll be signed or more likely bert.. than Larkin ..will be traded ..since those that hard negotiate with Steve usually don't stick around long..so im sure Steve knows the ball park numbers for both .. Steve plays chess not checkers remember 😉

It's going to be hard for Yzerman to convince UFA's to sign here. Cap space isn't a problem. But the rebuild is going fine and I don't see a need to fast track it. I'm expecting a few trades to happen over the next 2 years. UFA's are likely going to use Detroit to jack up their prices for other teams.

But I just can't see Yzerman going full Kenny Holland. I disagree about Veleno and Berggren. Both have spent enough time in Grand Rapids. The whole over ripening way of doing things is archaic. Sure it makes sense for rookies like Edvinsson and Soderblom to play in Grand Rapids if they're not NHL ready.

But we need to get away from the outdated Kenny Holland thinking and ruining players just because they have waiver options. It's 2022 not 2002.

It's not ruining players to stay down its never hurt one so far.. & Stevie is keeping them in one spot if u listen to his pressers he doesn't want to "yo yo" them up & down..itll be determined in camp/pre-season.. Like it or not Stevie was a student of Holland too.. Even if he's not managing fully like him..

Tatar and Nyquist spent way too much time in Grand Rapids and it was foolish. Main difference between Stevie and Kenny is that Kenny believes tie goes to the veteran whereas Stevie believes in tie goes to the young guy. Stevie learned from Holland yes. But he also learned what not to do.

True.... It didn't hurt neither Tatar or Gus ti stay there.. It hurts them to come up when not ready killing their confidence never to recover it again.. They'll (kids) be fine if Steve sends them down for seasoning... It's a fail safe formula

Tatar and Nyquist were both NHL ready way before they got their chance and it was only when they had no waiver options did they get their opportunities. It did hurt them. And it hurt the Red Wings. This seasoning crap has to stop. 1 year fine. If he's still not NHL ready then you keep him in Grand Rapids. You don't keep a player down for 3 or 4 years unless it's a goalie because they take longer to develop.

But I know Yzerman will make young players earn jobs and give opportunity to those who deserve it. Holland was a dinosaur and didn't evolve as a GM. Seider and Raymond would both be playing in Grand Rapids under Holland. But then again he wouldn't have even drafted them in the first place.

You're not a Red Wings fan at all. You're a troll. Your lack of hockey knowledge is embarrassing to be honest and it's why Red Wings fans get a bad rap. I tried to be patient here but you're a lost cause. Ignore list is where you belong. 👍
