As a Jets fan I feel sorry for you guys how many times we’ve done a mock trade of Schmidt to Detroit lol. Nothing against him, he seems like a great person but we should’ve realized how crazy his contract was before we traded for him last year since if we want to make any additions or trades for next year. We need to get rid of his cap hit.

I mean, I’m proud to say I’m not one of those people trading him to the wings. One reason, the wings will be on his no-trade list. It’s simple. Hence another team will be where we are looking.

Jets Decline

Schmidt to DET for a ‘23 3rd is an easy, realistic trade to do that would likely be accepted. That’s why it’s in many posts.
Part of fixing the Jets is moving out some cap and that’s Schmidt. If we upgrade our RD, he’s the odd man out and we don’t need him, so he’s the best option to go.

Wrong if it was so easy (cuz many fans think so) it'd be a done deal in reality so guess ur wrong per usual 💋

You must be confused… this is a fan site, not a place real GMs go… nothing on here is real
