Disregard the 2% salary retained by Winnipeg but it was just giving a weird number

Can't see this being nearly enough for WPG fans or management. They're gonna want at least a first rounder and a very good NHL / almost NHL ready prospect along with DeBrusk.

We should just disregard the entire trade. If you took Scheifele out from Winnipeg, at least the deal would be within the realm of possibilities.

Winnipeg would want more, but I'm assuming this is if Bergeron doesn't resign, and in that case it might not be the smartest idea for Boston to trade away their youth to give the cup a last couple tries.

You think debrusk, studnicka, and a 3rd for a 5th is in the realm of possibility?

It is certainly something that could at least happen as opposed to the original deal.

Why is the going rate for a 25 year old top six winger, a prospect, and a 3rd….a 5th round pick? How is that in the realm of possibility. Make your case.

DeBrusk - left shot winger. Other than left shot defenseman, the last thing Winnipeg needs. Not to mention his entitled attitude.

Studnica - worthless. Every team has at least 3 or 4 players that will probably never be more that a replacement level player.

3rd - is a 3rd.

Like it or not, if you want the Jets to take to players they have no use for off your cap, a 5th to get a 3rd is all they're worth, as they just waste cap and contract slots for the Jets. I rest my case.

What evidence is there of debrusk having an entitled attitude?
Why should boston care what Winnipeg’s needs are? They’re supposed to just be like, “oh, you guys already have left wingers? Okay then ya a 5th is good. We’ll throw in a 3rd too?”
He’s also played plenty on the right side.

What players are hte bruins eager to get off their cap in this situation? The center they can put in the minors, or the guy they just signed a couple months ago who has exceeded expectations since? Just curious.

You asked me to tell you what the players were worth to the Jets. I told you, you don't like it. I get it, you're a Bruins fan and every Bruin is the greatest player ever. It just gets tiring listening your same rah, rah, Bruins are the greatest BS all the time.

They simply don't play a position that Winnipeg needs to fill and consequently aren't worth much to the Jets.

So you tell me then:

How much is DeBrusk worth in a vacuum, disregarding team needs?

How much is Scheifele worth in a vacuum, disregarding team needs.

That is not what i asked of you.
Sheesh, pot calling the kettle black much? I haven’t really made any comments on the players values, just stated objective facts about what they are.

In a vacuum:
Debrusk - 1st and a low end kicker.
Scheifele - same as everyone else of his ilk - first, young roster player, prospect.
