William Karlsson and Garland

Created by: kscoop
Team: 2022-23 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: May 19, 2022
Published: May 19, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Not sure if this is too much or too little for Karlsson but Vegas needs to move money and not take much salary back. Debrusk for Garland makes sense. Craig Smith back to Nashville gives them some depth in case Forsberg walks.

I hear ya but he is available. His numbers have been down but he is a very good 200 foot player. Bruins love the 200 foot player.

He’s available because he sucks and his contract sucks. Why would anyone in their right mind want that?

I don’t think Ullmark sucks, or is necessarily a cap dump to most teams… but why would Chicago want to pay for him? The fact is that they wouldn’t, and moving that contract would be near impossible for Boston.

Funny how Reilly, the least valuable player you traded returns the most. Wings wouldn't give up any future assets for him

charge less for rielly, he'll go for a third, bergeron might sign for less, dump off foligno, and keep ullmark. just my thoughts. pretty decent

Insanely hard pass from Detroit... not even REMOTELY close to value. Reiley is worth a 4th or 5th round pick AT BEST... was a healthy scratch in the playoffs and is a massive defensive liability. I don't even want him for a 5th personally, as he's like option J on the trade market...

Why even bother doing Reilly to the wings when every NYI ACGM has Reilly for a 3rd?

No Karlsson fan, but that offer is trash.

Reilly won’t get a 2nd. Smith might.

Ully not being moved this year.

Van declines.

I understand why Boston makes the DeBrusk/Garland trade, but why does Vancouver? They need more right shooting players, not less. There would have to something else in this trade to have this make any sense at all for them. Given the overall interest in Garland (rightfully so,) there will be many more options that line up better with what Vancouver is trying to do.

He doesn't suck. He's overpaid, I agree with that, but his role has changed since they traded for Stephenson and now Eichel.
That stated, he's not the right fit for Boston right now and are just as well off with Haula as the 2c. Karlsson is comparable to Coyle.
