Way too much added in on the Wild's end. The age difference alone between Fiala and Miller nearly negates any difference in value that Miller's slightly higher production creates.

Minnesota says no. Easy..nobody paid that for jt Miller before and not now with 1 year left. Our gm isn't trading this pieces for anyone when he didn't for eichel

This is a massive overpay for a short term minimal upgrade.

IF MIN ends up having to move Fiala for cap reasons, it will be for picks and NHL ready prospects.

Why would Minnesota do this. They have cap issues and need their picks as well. They can't afford to sign Miller long term. No way this can occur. They will need to be smart the next 3 years until they get cap relief from Parise and Suter. They will need youth and value players. If they trade Fiala they will look to collect picks or cost controlled young players.

They could go for player with low cost high or mid productions. In free agent or trade Avenue. Exemple MTL could trade a J.Drouin at 50% retain salary (2.750m) and produced 40 to 50 pts if he stay healthy .
