Paying way too much for boeser, he's not that good and slow. Also , Zuccarello, kaprizov's mentor, and kaprizov whose our franchise shouldn't have his side kick traded. Your risking kaprizov wanting out. Other one is good.

If Kaprizov wants to leave when his current deal is done because of this…I will escort him to the door myself!

Aside from cap considerations. What do you gain by moving Zuccarello?

Feels like a big overpay for Boeser. I feel like Dumba for Brock straight up would be pretty close to fair value; that means you're throwing in Addison & Greenway for a 3rd. Not a move I'd want to make.

May I ask why? We haven't had a franchise like him ever. I think kaprizov or his agent said something to Minnesota the way they always put his need 1st and protect him so much

The Kings are incredibly intriguing to me as trade partners for Fiala, but I'm really not high on Turcotte (or Vilardi). Both have tools that are very exciting but they haven't been able to put it together. It's a huge risk, but it could pay off...

I’ve cooled on both those players too.

In this scenario, I get a bigger, cheaper replacement gor Dumba.
Mostly, I want to move him in order to keep Fiala on the team. Plus, I don’t believe in placating to star players…and I believe Kaprizov would be just fine without Zucc, both as a person and as a player.

What I’m trying to say here is that if (and I don’t believe he is) Kaprizov is going to whine and pout about the business that is the NHL…I don’t want him on the team anyway. I realize I’m old school here, but that’s my honest reason.

Next question, how do you sign Boldy, a 2nd goalies, and roughly the whole 4th line fwds and a 7th Dman in 23 with the roughly 10 mil in cap you have, even accounting for letting Jost walk? Not even considering what the rest of the RFAs in 24 will demand.

But you are willing to throw a wrench in team chemistry (and a guy that produced at a top line rate) to essentially make a point? Seems like a bad idea to me.

And let’s please get off our humble high horse. We’ve whined and whined for good players and now that we have one it’s, “you’re no better than anybody else, grow up”

You absolutely defer to guys like Kaprizov. And when you can stay on his good graces by keeping his buddy that’s putting up 80 pts, let’s shut up and take the W.

Trade #1 = You're overpaying. I think you could cut ROR from the trade. I'm intrigued by Grans, big kid 6'3", plays hard, RD. With ROR out of it, I'd be good with this trade.

Trade #2 = Zuccarello is a Wild for as long as he wants to be. Don't shoot yourself in the foot here. He had a great season.

Trade #3 = You're overpaying. Boesar isn't the guy we thought he was. Good second liner, but not more than that. Take Greenway and Addison out and lose the draft pick. Just trade Boesar and Dumba straight up. But I wouldn't do it. I like our young guys better and I don't want to block them out.

Overall? I wouldn't do any of the three trades as written. With modifications, I'd do trade 1.
