The deals look reasonable except for the Islander and Anaheim deals which they turn down.

Don’t think SEA would do it.
DET Accepts
Isles Decline
Switch the BOS 3rd to a 2nd and it works… or add Stanley/Harkins and make it a 1st.
ANA blocks our number

That Bruins trade looks pretty good to me, but I'd want a second in return and also doubt they want to let go of Lysell.

Wheeler is staying sadly. He has a NTC and would likely block a trade to a non-contending team. Contending teams don't have room for that contract.

Islanders aren't the side adding picks in that trade - Mayfield is younger and gets paid almost nothing compared to Dillon.

I can't see Boston giving up that much for Scheifele - that's one of their top 4 D, plus their #1 prospect. It's a lot of freight to give up for any player, so I could see the resistance to it.

Only way I see this happening is if BOS finds an RD for cheap from another team and can afford to move Carlo. Which is unlikely given the difficulty of acquiring good cost controlled RD.

But I think it’s hard to deny how much scheifele would help Boston. He’d give their offensive group a major boost. But is that worth moving Carlo and their last piece in the cupboard for?

Also as for the islanders deal it doesn’t make a lot of sense for NY. I feel like the jets would have a better chance just trying to move Dillon to the islanders on his own. If NYI doesn’t need Dillon, there is most definitely a team out there that could. He’d be one of my last choices for guys to be moved this summer.

Also Jets are stuck with wheeler plain and simple.

Dillon on his own is fine for the Isles - he'd be a good LD2 aside Noah Dobson. Moving out Mayfield, though, just creates one hole to fill another.

Scheif definitley helps Boston but you hit the nail on the head - it's a big ask on that price. I think if they want to make a Scheifele deal, it starts with package centered around JDB - giving up roster players instead of Lysell.

The whole scheifele situation is a giant ?. No one knows what will happen, no one knows what the ask will be, and no one knows who will be interested. When a PPG C hits the market, typically teams come running. Trading MS55 would be incredibly easy, it’s getting full value back that’s the issue.

Agreed on Dillon, I actually like him as a fit for NYI.
