Lol, no from the Sabres

We don’t want Panik
And we aren’t moving Olofsson for Varlamov
We might move a non1st draft pick for him, or possibly Portillo, but that’s about it
No interest in Holmstrom either

If I'm the Sabres I keep Olofsson...I still think he is capable of putting up 30 goals...once injury free he came on strong to get to 20.
I'd trade Mitts but I think management keeps him with the hopes he has an injury free season to see what they have in him once and for all.

Stars decline, both players are of no need and their contracts are too big.

Isles aren’t giving up two 1sts and Beauvillier for a 2nd pair defenseman

30 is very much in play honestly, plus his passing is underrated, he could throw up 30 assists too. I don't like mittelstadt as much, maybe Krebs or whoever we draft at 9 is able to push mittelstadt out, as for right now, his grade is more incomplete than anything. My problem is, without a clear #1 center, we probably need our #2 and #3 to outplay the competition regularly for us to win games. Mittelstadt seems like he has games where he's a nice surprise, but I wouldn't bet on him to outplay anybody regularly.

I'm going to join every other person on this thread and decline from the Stars. Those moves don't make sense for us.

I like your Chychrun trade and FA signings though.

@braisman Sabres have great mid six depth, so it is unlikely that they will be making a one for three trade.
If they do trade Olofsson IMO they would add an asset to get a better player.
This is an easy no!

...Olofsson...is capable of putting up 30 goals...Absolutely!

30 is very much in play honestly, plus his passing is underrated, he could throw up 30 assists too...He had more assists than goals this past year!
Trying to play through an injury over the first 38 games he had 5 goals, 16 assists, 21 pts and was -17.
After his wrist healed, over his final 34 games he had 15 goals, 13 assists, 28 pts and was +1.
IMO, his production next year will be more similar to his last 34 games.
I think Varlamov would be a good addition but Pánik and Holmström do not make up for the value that Olofsson brings to the ice.
