Highest hockey IQ team

Description
team of player's I would consider to think the game very well both offensively and defensively.

Pretty debatable topic but just some player's I would think of if I wanted to build a very smart team.

Tried to make the cap close to legit team with no ELC's and tried to not take all guy's with unbelievable contracts (Barkov, Huberdeau, Bergeron) To me Foxx would be near the top of this list as well but was trying to make a more realistic cap hit team

I would add Travis Zajac, if he were still playing. Blake Coleman would be the other (former) Devil.

And as much as it pains me to say it, Adam Fox should be on there.

Ya there's a reason guy's like Zajac have played so many games in the league. And yes Fox's brain might be his biggest asset. Hard to put him on cap friendly teams without being unrealistic with his $925,000 cap hit. hahaha

Maybe they should run a Glendenning - Bellemare - Ryan third line next year?!?!?!

Connor is a great scorer but is flat out awful in his own zone and Glendening isnt good at either

Your probably right about Connor, sometimes I have a hard time saying guy's who put up big offensive numbers are "bad defensively" because I do believe they conserve their energy to score. But yes Connor pick could be a little biased. JT miller or Geuntzel would be other good picks.

And Glendenning isn't in the league for his offensive skill so i think he's doing something right

Glendening is one of those guys feeding off an unearned reputation and now hes a 'veteran presence'. He just gets caved in defensivly and has for years, but last year he had a crazy good face off percentage so,despite him getting grossly outshot amd out chanced and unable to get the puck out of his own end ever people said he was good at defence

your totally right and tbh i had him on this team as the #1 C but just figured I couldn't not have Crosby on the team. It was more because I was attempting to make the team within the salary cap, but if you were going to make a team of the highest IQ guy's overall (no salary cap), then O'Reilly, Bergeron, Barkov, etc... would definitely be on there
