I really don't like the Malkin deal. He's a great player when he's healthy, but he's older and he's not the player he used to be.

Would love Kuzmenko.

Paul... I think for that price, I'd walk away. I'd rather go for Domi at something like four by four given how well he's played.

I like the Lybushkin add, but I also think that's a little high.

DeAngelo is about a mil high too.

I like the Carson Soucy add, and I think that's a fair price. Might need a later round pick, but I like the idea.

I think that's a little high for Lorentz.

I think this is a really nice idea, a few things I'd rather not see, but overall solid. My big sticking point is Malkin though. He's also publicly said he would never play in a smaller market and then listed Carolina as the example (this was in like 2012 or something but it was years ago)

I just thought "Old Dougie Cap Hit" for DeAngelo. To me, something like that for three years would be the ideal bridge for Scott Morrow. Also, older Malkin is still a well-above-average offensive 2C, which is why I thought that might be a good way for KK to get slowly acclimated to the 2C position.

I would have to think Detroit would be lining up for Necas if he were available. But that's probably wishful thinking.

Realistically, Necas is only available for a true forward upgrade. Malkin would count as one if he's willing to sign a high-dollar 1 year deal, but IMO the most likely one to consider is Fiala.

Why not just keep Trocheck and replace Nino with Rust or, if you can afford him, Forsberg?

I like Malkin, but I'd rather either extend Trocheck or use Necas in a package for a solid top 6 C. Tony is slightly higher than I'd like but ok. I love the idea of bringing on Kuzmenko and Paul.
