For sure, Tampa will have to continue to be very meticulous with cap management for the next couple of years until Stammer comes off(but hopefully stays on a new deal that works for both sides) and some actual cap increases occur. Hopefully, even when Tampa loses two of Palat/Killorn/Serg, the other moves JBB will make will keep the team very competitive for quite a few years to come.

Oh yeah, I have no doubt JBB will be able to keep the team competitive even if some players have to be shipped out for cheaper assets to stay cap compliant. Don't know how much longer they'll be able to keep their "contention" window open however

With careful management and perhaps bringing in more key assets through trade/finding good value with lower cost vets in free agency, Tampa should have at least 3 more years of prime contender status imo. Maybe they drop off a little after that, but should still remain a team that can win it all beyond that as well.

Yeah, maybe after a retool five years down the road if they still want to be competitive, even while some of the core guys are still under contract
