Zacha's clearly a talented player who hasn't necessarily put it all together. He hit a career high 36 points this season, which is still underwhelming. He'd probably be a valuable contributor on a contender, but the prohibitive cost of a first round pick for a rebuilding team like the Habs isn't going to work out.
It's kind of peculiar: both Drouin and Zacha were drafted very high, but neither lived up to the expectations. I wonder if a player swap would do both some good. Neither team would have to commit to the player long term if it didn't work out.
