Burns Fast forward to May pls

Description
Yes I do want to watch the world burn

Can playoffs end so we acutally hear rumors with base to it... Acutally can we fast forward to may, who cares about this playoffs and the regular season

Also I factored in the Liljegren overage penalty and if you look at the mrazek trade and Holl trade and say we decline.. it could be literally any team. Mrazek will be a minimal cap dump since some teams will need a goalie and Holl is a right shot PKer which gms go crazy for

Probably not enough to take on Mrazek. Strome is definitely getting qualified.

There was rumors in season that he and kubalik wouldn't be.

That was before Strome started getting playing time again and his production blew up.

50% retention on Burns is never happening. And this deal is INSANELY lopsided toward the leafs. Super easy decline.
Horrible for the Sharks.

Sharks will either retain (some) salary or send a young player with Burns but it won't be 2 excellent young players + our best goalie.

Realistic is:

To TML: Burns (1 mil retention) + Noah Gregor
To SJS: 2nd Round pick and Alex Kerfoot (cap purposes)

Your deal is video game level fantasy.

Nylander is not worth a 4 mil Brent Burns, our top goalie on an excellent contract, a young player who will have a very good contract next year who is primed to break out, a very solid versatile Balcers on an excellent contract. No GM is retaining that much cap in a hard cap world. classic, delusional Leafs fantasy.

Regardless of when you saw it, I don’t see any way that it actually happens.

Easy Sharks decline. $12m in retained cap over 3 years, a good defenseman, a solid 1a/1b goaltender, and a pair of promising young forwards in exchange for basically just Nylander?

Also what the hell is that Mrazek trade? Most of the AGMs I see have the leafs giving up a 1st just to get his contract off the books, and you think a team will take him for nothing?

Leafs fans...I feel for 'em though while we've seen 4 conference finals, cup finals and so many semi finals in the last 20 years, they have seen nothing but first round exits. But for some reason they still think teams are lining up to be fleeced by them in trades...

Most agms on here forget that gms will miss out on a goalies in FA and probably take the bet on Mrazek

There are 10 goalies in UFA I would take over Mrazek. He has missed time due to injuries 7 times in the last 3 years. He has a 10 team NT list and makes almost 4 mil for a guy who has been super inconsistent when he has played. Leafs will have to keep him or retain a heap of salary to move him.

None of this is realistic. SJ isn’t retaining that kind of money on Burns. Mrazek’s contract will cost more to dump. I’m not convinced Holl is worth good picks. Chicago isn’t letting a 50 point forward go for nothing

You could probably try routing Burns through Arizona and pay them to retain on him but the sharks aren’t retaining that much.
