Well TOR doesn't match that-- and you're hoping he lives up to it in the final 2 years-- because he's not a $4million player today.

So you overpay a player for a player to get him for four years, at which time he’s a UFA and probably walks? Doesn’t seem to make tons of sense.

I don’t mind the offer sheet, but that Trocheck signing is hard to handle.

While I don’t defend giving that contract, and don’t think lilj is worth that, is he not a prime target to offer sheet? Right shot defenseman. Young and we have cap space. Fills a lot of needs.

On a one year deal, sure.

He was very good this year. He was for sure a 4M dollar player

His game was much improved- especially after pairing with Gio-- but IMO he was nowhere near a $4M player. There's a reason he only played 2 games in the playoffs.

He was not. But even if he was, four years takes him direct to UFA without buying out any UFA years. Not a good idea.

Oh, that’s simple: my reasoning is i never said anything of the sort, or anything close to that, or even anything that could be possibly construed as such.

To be pedantic, saying "he was not" in response to "he was very good" could be construed as saying he was not good.

He was not a $4M player. He was solid
