I think adding Guhle to any trade is a bad idea and will handcuff the habs d for years to come. even if the habs do get Nemec or Jiricek
I'd much rather include Mailloux (although I think he'll also be a 1-2 d man in the league)

Interesting Flyers trade, a lot better offer than what you usually get from Habs fans for the top 5 picks in this years draft.
Value seems close ish, though I think Montreal could get this over the line if they retained half of Petry's salary (Habs are rebuilding over the next two - three years anyway).
Not sure if its a very good fit for the Flyers though, they might just be better of drafting whomever's available at #5.

Yotes aren't doing that, no team is paying for Weber's contract I think.
Don't see the issue in MTL keeping Weber on LTIR for the remainder of his contract.

No team is giving that much up for Andersson, certainly not without retention.
Kings would be the last team to trade for him anyway given how much depth at wing they have.

Probably better off selling petry to get another pick at the deadline instead. Doubt Philly would move 5OA anyway it’s very rare that a top 5 pick gets moved on draft day.

you Arent getting a 1st for Josh Anderson lol and petry has little to no value the flyers will not trade the pick unless you throw in some better assets guhle is nice those 1st are gonna be late 1sts mysak is a b prospect the flyers would get better just keeping the pick is good effort tho tweak it a bit and it could work

Thing it with Webers deal is that hes only owed 6 million total for the next 4 years. So Arizona, who will want to be at the cap floor as cheap as possible, is getting a player whos cap hit is 7.8 million per year for the next 4 years and only have to pay Weber 6 million total. Most players, to get that cap hit, ypud have to pay 7.8 million per year

For the Flyers trade, Retaining on Petry would have to eliminate a prospect or 1st rounder. Since the only way the habs use a retention spot on Petry is to go 50% and Petry at 3.25 million is a total bargain.

Kings trade. I though with Brown retiring, theyd like a PF. and with Andersons play at the Worlds shows that he can be much better than last year.

Petry is a #3 D man since MSL was hired. His value is still high because GMs arent stupid and know he still has a little of that Norris contending D man in him. Flyers arent gonna arent rebuild with their roster so might as well go for it and they need a stabilizing RHD now.

Not an awful trade for Philly but without retention on Petry that certainly hurts the chances of it getting accept

Reject on the 1st one, rather have guhle, petry, mysak, and the other 1sts

Weber returns closer to 2nd + 4th

Habs can get more for Anderson, he's valuable to them 2 1sts minimum to trade him

I like the Rangers trade

As good as whoever might still be at #5. Trading Guhle would be a mistake. Every game this guy is showing he should of been pick higher than 16th. Hell, there a lot of reputable people saying he’s starting to project as a top pairing guy.

Habs pass on the flyers deal, and I think they pass on the LA one as well. Taking out the 2 thirds, that it is probably his value (a mid first), but since we have 0 reasons to trade him, there will need a lot more to move the needle
