This could work for NJ. I think they’d want the 2023 second and blueger. Maybe McLeod and Zacha for Blueger, 2023 second and petterson

Thanks for the feedback. I thought NJ could use Pettersson until Bahl is ready for full-time NHL duty. McGinn could help in your bottom 6, especially if you lost Miles Wood...although I doubt NJ would move on from BOTH Zacha and Wood. The pick could be negotiable. I was hesitant to include the 2023 2nd simply because Pittsburgh doesn't have a 3rd that year either.

If the Devils took this deal knowing them could also flip Petterson for a 2nd, getting two 2nds for what started as Zacha would be more than good with me.

I don't understand why PIT would trade away assets for Zacha when they could just re-sign Heinen at a similar (or less) AAV
