Price retiring

Description
My bet is that Price will retire. This is also what the most credible rumors are pointing to

I think Petry is still worth a 2nd + B Prospect. He will also be a good fit in Detroit (rebuilding team that needs experience). He will at least play until the end of his contrat

As we saw in the playoffs, the Kings need to score more goals. Hoffman is good at and his lack of defensive skills will be compensated by Danault/Kopitar easily. Chromiak played very well with Shane Wright in the OHL. The 3rd round pick is there because of Hoffman's contract high value

3 teams are trying to acquire Weber's contract. Best offer will most likely come from ARI. Weber's contract alone could get a 3rd, but I added Poehling since I don't see a good fit for him in MTL and he could be a reliable 3rd/4th line center in ARI. The addition of Peohling would get MTL the latest 2nd round pick of ARI

The Fleury/Letang signing might happen if both of them decide to sign in MTL and finish their carreer together in their hometown

Hate to break it to you but Petry to Detroit probably makes the least sense among mostly all teams in the league. It's not because he's from there that he needs to be traded there... Detroit already have 3 young legit NHLer on the right side. If you want experience Yzerman will go after a veteran during free agency for free, simple as that.

No thanks on Jeff Petry, Want someone a little younger than Petry.

Hopefully if Steve Yzerman moves Filip Hronek we sign John Klingberg.

Yeah just don't see Jeff Petry as an Yzerman kind of guy, From Detroit or not.

$30M is a lot of money to leave on the table. I'm sure the doctors will find some debilitating back injury or skin condition that will let him go to Robidas Island for the rest of his career.

And when I send him elsewhere (ie Dallas), everyone says he's going to Detroit....

Send him to Seattle or Arizona. That way you don't get as much negative feedback. There's not many fans of those teams on CFACGM.

Habs fan here and outside of these boomers analysts on TVA and RDS that wanted to trade Caufield for Simmonds or these pseudo twitter "expert" that do that for a living in their mom's basement, I haven't seen once a sane guy anywhere that would suggest trading Petry to Detroit. Trading Petry to Detroit is like Montreal trading for yet another 3rd line RH winger, it makes 0 sense. If people would actually know their hockey and dare to look up at the very least to each team's top 6 and top 4, we wouldn't see this amount of nonsense constantly on CF...

An elementary requirement of our forwards is that they play defense, so we have no interest in Hoffman, especially if he were to be given first-line duties. Moreover, his 15 goals in 67 games isn't better than Alex Iafallo's 17 in 79 games or Trevor Moore's 17 goals in 81 games because both of them are excellent defensively, getting significant time on the PK (where no one would dream of deploying Hoffman). In fact, upcoming youngsters like Carl Grundstrom (9 goals in 54 games) and rookie Arthur Kaliyev (14 goals in 80 games) can be expected to increase their production next year to Hoffman's anticipated level. And that $4.5 million cap hit is absurd for a guy with a one-dimensional game. If we go looking for a #1 LW, it will be through free agency, not via the trade market.
