Dont want Slafkovsky. He has 5 goals in Liiga. Joel Armia had 18 goals at the same age in same league. He seems like another guy with all the tools but no toolbox

These Hab/Devils trades just constantly get worse....WE DONT WANT DROUIN...guy stinks on ice...we'd rather just pick second.

Also, no one should want Mailloux. F that guy.

You're getting the 1st pick! And, giving up very little to do it. Always amazes me how fans here justify their opinions like Drouin and Mailloux are some kind of disease that cant be shed on your team when your getting by far the best assetl We dont want to give that up either but you do you..

If someone told me I could get 1st OVA + a 50 point winger and a top 4 RHD prospect and all I had to give up was 2nd OVA + a 3/4C + a middle 6 winger. I would be asking where I signed in a heartbeat. Considering most GM's are willing to believe all players deserve a second chance (see Kane, Kane, Matthews etc....) I am pretty sure they would all take Mailloux as well.

To the OP: this trade makes no sense though, Montreal is obviously choosing Wright at 1st and Jersey is likely to choose Slafkovsky at 2nd. Swapping 1st for 2nd and having each team select the same players has no logic to it. Jersey has no need for Wright, so I guarantee that they take Slafkovsky and we still take Wright. All you have done is pay a top 4 RHD prospect (a position that we are very very weak at) to move Drouin. Which is also illogical since waiting until the deadline means we can retain half and get back a decent return.

It wouldn't be a good idea to give up Sharangovich just for moving from #2 to #1, dude's a bonafide 2nd liner and has still some more runway to develop further.
Devils already have one of the strongest prospect pools so adding another "good" prospect in Mailloux to it doesn't fill any need for them.
Can't see Drouin providing anything different to what the Devils already have in Zacha, Tatar and Johnsson. No need for him, he's certainly not better than Sharangovich anyway.

Can't see you've given any reason for why Devils shouldn't just keep it simple and draft Cooley, Nemec or Wright (if he falls) at #2.

This is what I was saying, it doesn't make sense for either team to swap picks. Montreal needs a center and Jersey needs a top 6 winger swapping picks just means that Jersey takes Slafkovsky 1st OVA and Montreal takes Wright 2nd OVA. Our choices are not going to change.

the OP (me) called the AGM test, and I got the answer in the bolded part.

It's so funny that we always talk about how **** a player can be and not about where he could slot in the team or fit in a system. I've put the atrocity to see the habs getting fleeced just to be sure that I don't receive the famous H word that I can'T use but every other fan base can against habs fans ....

Sometime this site is a real joke and we need to do test to prove how wrong things are.

He doesnt have a no trade clause, he has a no MOVEMENT clause so he doesnt have to submit any list. Its also common knowledge that he and his wife are from western Canada, & played his entire junior and pro career in either BC or Alberta. He is also signed long term so its not like he could be lured out east with the promise of a bigger contract. If the Oilers wanted to move Nuge my guess it would have to be somewhere close to home for him(Seattle, Van, Calgary) or perhaps a buyout closer to the end of his contract.
