Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I really dont think this is too unreasonable (aside for maybe fiala trade).

Devils should absolutely be all over Campbell. Not going to be too expensive and he is a good-to-great starter. Now they have a nice tandem.

McLeod sucks other from the fact he can win draws. Does literally nothing offensively and if there is an opportunity to get rid of him, do it. Kerfoot is an upgrade for cheap with playoff experience. 1 year left and good penalty-killer too. Cap-clearing for TOR.

Tatar makes too much and does nothing. You can swap him or Johnsson here.

Nutivaara is a bottom pair guy on a prove it deal since he was injured all of this year. Liked his age and potential. Could pay more for him if necessary.

Resigned all the RFAs except Zacha because the Devils don't need anymore guys who suck.

Plus there's still the 2OA pick and some other prospect signings. Exciting time to be a fan right now.

They wanted 5 OA so you can see why they say this. He is not incorrect, at a min its another pick or elc contract. On teh other side of it Guerin is a bit screwed so he eats a crap sandwich, not a big one. I like Fiala but offers will come in better than what you have proposed, I think.

I really liked a trade built around NJD's 1st until it became the #2 OA. Unless you want Fiala+ for thst pick, then something including Holtz would be nice.

I highly doubt Devils give up Holtz for Fiala

Did you miss your GM publicly torpedo Fiala’s trade value on the radio?

On the Fiala - its probably closer to Zacha/3rd than to Holtz, 2nd OA, etc

On Tatar - keep him, especially if we get Nemec or Slafkovsky (Tuna and Slafkovsky have been linemates at World Championship)

On Kerfoot - trading McLeod for Kerfoot is the opposite direction Fitzgerald wants to go in

On Zacha - trade him to make way for Holtz/Zetterlund.

That one line on local radio drops his value by a 1st round pick? Wow, what a world we live in!

Something that is not braindead bad would be a great start. Guerin might not get point per game player value because of what he said, but he will definitely get 65-70 point player value for sure.

Holtz is definitely closer to reality. Ottawa's 7th overall pick has been heavily linked to a Fiala trade. As you can see, a far cry from your sucky player and a 3rd.

Idk man your GM has now shown his whole ass on Fiala like 4 times (team arb, extensions for cap dump candidates, tear down presser, Minnesota radio). You can’t possible believe the interested GMs haven’t noticed that Guerin seems to have no interest in Fiala long term

That doesn't mean his value drops to whatever that Zacha+3rd garbage is. Fiala is available, that is clear. His price, however, will be high

I'm sorry. But what part of the player trying to get a long-term contract done with his current team for the last 4 years, pretty widely reported throughout that timespan through the press no less, and him and his fiancé making comments through Instagram and Twitter in regards to really liking Minnesota and seeing it as someplace they could live long-term during that same timespan scream as someone who doesn't want to be here?

His post-season exit interview comments about wanting to be here next year of "we'll see", are more telling of a man and player who has the foresight and reasoning to understand that his likely wanting to stay isn't his choice or something he gets to control and isn't going to waste the time or effort to the media of saying he does when the GM seems to have made up his mind already that he wants him gone. Why would you bother at that point?

Even if he wants to stay, the GM may not give him that choice. Just because the GM wants him gone, that doesn't mean he doesn't want to stick around or wouldn't prefer that option if it was available.

But sure, I guess that wouldn't fit the mold or help your flippant response and narrative any better, now would it.

And I'm sorry that Minnesota's fanbase not wanting to see their 25 year old PPG 80+ point winger going for pennies on the dollar seems to trigger you so hard. But go off I guess.

But it's okay to summarily make a blatant and unfounded statement that a player wants out when there's been absolutely zero reported evidence to support that claim?

OK, sure chief.

Saying a player wants out is a completely different thing then saying a player might feel unwelcome after getting shafted by the front office management. Because if he did, he would of demanded a trade by now, and given the front offices insistence on moving him, it would of come out and already happened long ago by this point.

But again, that doesn't fit your narrative.

I’m not your strawman. Take your complaints up with Wild front office.

No, your not. And I'm not trying to do that by any means. But, by that same token, that's
exactly what you made Fiala into, by implying he wanted out.

And my complaints about the front office are mine to make as I see fit. But they also have no bearing on this discussion one iota.

You made a blatantly false statement about a player wanting out when there's been no evidence, reported or otherwise, to suggest he does. With the express purpose because it conveniently fit your narrative and flippant response. I just happened to call you out on it.

Sound about right?

I don't particularly care if you think he wants out one way or the other. And for the record, given the fact he just got publicly thrown under the bus by our GM, it wouldn't surprise if he did in point of fact want out now. That however doesn't matter. What does matter is that until its been reported that he does in point of fact want out, your comment remains false to say the least, and any comments to such effect will remain purely speculative and an unbased assumption and hearsay.

And until such time that it has in fact been reported that he does, or that he likely gets traded, I will continue to call out anyone and everyone that says he wants out.
