OTT
  1. Gurianov, Denis [RFA Rights]
  2. Tufte, Riley [RFA Rights]
  3. 2022 2nd round pick (DAL)
  4. 2023 1st round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
Dallas loads up for a better run with a younger core and they get a quality top six support piece in Brown that on the trade market probably is worth a first and second like the Pageau trade.

To me the Dallas 1st and Gurianov is the 1st and 2nd and Tufte is there cause he is a big body forward that played his junior hockey in Ottawa and could fit into the Ottawa play style whereas he hasn't had an opportunity in Dallas.

First is Top 10 protected.

Second only transfers if Dallas goes to the Cup Final and Brown plays in 33% of those games.
DAL
  1. Brown, Connor ($1,800,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Ottawa gets back a potential top six forward in Gurianov and Tufte could end up being a decent bottom six piece. And the first is a first.
2.
OTT

    SEA
    1. Zaitsev, Nikita ($2,250,000 retained)
    Additional Details:
TO ANY TEAM. It's pretty much the price you have to pay for a decent third pairing defenseman nowadays.
    3.
    OTT
    BOS
    1. White, Colin
    Additional Details:
Buyout, trade, he just ends up out of Ottawa. He probably doesn't have a roster spot in the future.
    4.
    OTT
    1. Chibrikov, Nikita [Reserve List]
    2. Lucius, Chaz
    3. 2022 1st round pick (WPG)
    Additional Details:
    Marco Kasper

I know that this may seem like a lot but moving up 7 spots when there is an huge decrease in talent between those spots will cost you a lot.
    WPG
    1. 2022 1st round pick (OTT)
    Additional Details:
    David Jirichek

This trade is assuming that Jirichek is available when the Sens pick and the Jets want him to slidify their D core.

OTT declines and Jets would not do a trade to move into the top 10, would be too cost prohibitive

This deal is obviously too much, giving up Lucius to move up is incredibly short sighted, but that's also not close. Kristian Vesalainen isn't worth the paper his contract is printed on at this point, and a 2nd doesn't move you up from 14 to 7.

Jets consider but counter with our 1st, chibrikov, and our higher 2nd to move up

We aren’t moving 2 top 20 picks and a guy who could turn out to be better than either of those top 20 picks for a 7 oa, no matter how much we want it

That's a pretty good counter offer, I'd take that if I was Ottawa. Especially cause I like Kasper and he is likely to be in that range.

Gurianov > Brown, let alone spending 2 high picks on top of it tears of joy
    2 teen 1sts > 7th OA tears of joy
You will definitely, at the very least, have to move a 2nd for each of these 2 bumass costly players tears of joy

I think it's fair to assume that we have a cringy boy right here lads :/

For brown with retention, you could just drop Gurianov and Tufte.

It’s better for Winnipeg to stay where they are in the draft rather then do that trade

I would think the sens take that. Personally I love Chibrikov (drafted him in my keeper league and love his development so far) so if I was the gm it would peak my interest lol. But I also like Lekkerimaki too much to want to trade the 7th... So good proposal haha

Gurianov is definitely not better than brown but it's probably too steep a price for the Stars. Tufte and 1st would probably interest the sens. Or Gurianov and a 2nd and 4th? I want to believe in Gurianov but he has been wildly inconsistent

Dude, did you not read what I said, first is a first, but the second is Gurianov who has lost favor and has not been great, Tufte doesn't hold great value as a 24 year old that still hasn't established himself. The second is only if the Stars go to the Final and Brown plays in 33% of those games.

If you actually read what I wrote then we would not be having this conversation.
