The more i watch the 2nd round replay for Tampa the more im like

Just give them their third cup already

Like at this point there only threat is Colorado that's how crazy they are. And they got over their biggest hurdle before facing Florida so what's left to stop them

Bolts 16-0 after loss
Canes can't win on road

Hypothetical ECF:
Canes H1: Canes W (Canes 1-0)
Canes H2: Lightning W (Tied 1-1)
Bolts H1: Lightning W (Bolts 2-1)
Bolts H2: Lightning W (Bolts 3-1)
Canes H3: Canes W (Bolts 3-2)
Bolts H3: Lightning W (Bolts 4-2)

One of those streaks are gonna have to give in the ECF if Canes are to move on to SCF

No streak can stay alive forever. But I don't think TB is the one going to break Canes' streak.

Rangers will. They'll win G6 in MSG and then take the series in Game 7. Canes' home magic will shatter.

Then TB beats NYR in five games lol

doesn't biznasty have to shave his head now? because I am pretty sure that him and Whitney made a bet at the start of the season that if the Oilers made the WCF he would have to shave his head or beard or something like that.

Oilers had to go further than the Flames. Whitney had to get some awful piercing or something if he lost.

these stupid people on twitter man, even if that goal counted and the fLames won the game the Oilers would have still been headed back to Edmonton with a 3-2 series lead so it isn't like this was the final minutes of game 7 or something and plus the fLames had the lead for most of the game it is there own dumb fault that they let the Oilers tie it up

I can't post it on here but Gene Principe just posted a video of McDavid entering the Oilers dressing room after the game, I suggest anyone who is interested go check it out

There's always gonna be some controversy. The what ifs will linger on for a while.

Imo, Coleman’s goal was a kick, admittedly it wasn’t the hardest of kicks but it’s still a kick to nudge the puck over the goal line. The puck was going in anyways too lol so Coleman might’ve cost his team the game by kicking it

A Gretzky record broken!

If this series went 7, Draisaitl would have also undoubtedly broken the single-series playoff point record, playing injured. And he's not even the best player on his team.

Imagine what the Canes could have added with $6M at the deadline.

@oilersguy, chirp me all you want because i was rly wrong about this team! I had CGY winning, but The passion and tenacity and drive to win they showed against one of the best teams in the league is staggering. Keep this going, theyre gonna have a big challenge against Colorado/St. Louis.

Now I'm FULLY on the oilers bandwagon for the rest of the playoffs, win the cup for McDavid!

I'll be wearing my Gretzky jersey around town for the next little while, so Go Oilers go! Bring the cup North of the border!

Yes he moved his leg to get it closer to the puck. So the intention to kick was there

Not really tbh. Teams don't usually trade those guys and they're only available when they hit FA or if their team has cap issues. Maybe offersheeting Cernak when his contract is up could be an option.

I don't get this at all.
He's off balance from previous contact with Smith.
The defender behind Blake is pushing him throughout the sequence.
If Blake doesn't step out with his foot he's faceplanting right into the iron.
Besides, his blade remains on the ice surface throughout, isn't one of the kick criteria that the blade needs to leave the ice?
Flames got robbed imo

It's starting to become a tired narrative. The Oilers had an incredible team effort led by McDavid. Wasn't just McDavid carrying the team.

It was not a kick. This series should have lasted at least one more game.

But… this means I’m temporarily an oilers fan. Go oilers.

I wouldn't even say that.. they were led by them, not carried.
