Highlights and Lowlights from the game:

Highlights:

-The atmosphere was amazing. Right from the start of the Anthem.
-Mariano Rivera was 10 rows in front of me.
-Mika's goal was absolutely filthy. Gotta give credit where credit is due, right? Igor was a brick wall...again.

Lowlights:

-The 10 y.o. kid next to me spilled melted chocolate ice cream on my jeans.
-The Rangers won.

I'm not saying Anderson is better than Zacha, but you don't compare a PWF to a goal scorer using PPG.

They’re both fairly even in terms of skill (middle 6 wingers who can score 40ish points). Anderson is a PWF which adds to his value but his contract also destroys that value. Neither one of them is worth anything close to a top 2 pick

Also, Anderson being one of the worst passers in the entire league kinda destroys his value to.
Pre injury, Wood's likely the better player between the two.

If the Avalanche match up Mackinnon's line against Mcdavids, the oilers probably win this series in 5 or 6 games. The flames made the mistake of matching up Gaudreau's line against Mcdavid (instead of Backlund's) and it cost them the series. The Avs should have a 2nd line of Nichuskin-Kadri-Lehkonen and match them against Mcdavid.

So somehow Raanta is a god in Raleigh (.965, 0.97) and trash anywhere else this playoffs (.872, 3.96), and according to JFresh

(https://twitter.com/JFreshHockey/status/1530729326492241920),

the two Hurricanes goaltenders are 1.4 goals saved above expected per game at home and 0.3 below expected on the road.

Opposing goaltenders have a .950 save percentage when hosting the Hurricanes and sub-.900 when in Raleigh.

The home/road split seems to be almost entirely due to goaltending.
