Opposing goaltenders have a .950 save percentage when hosting the Hurricanes and sub-.900 when in Raleigh.

The home/road split seems to be almost entirely due to goaltending.


if opposing goaltenders have a .950 sv % the players aren't scoring either though... tough for the canes goalie to have to go up against a .950 every time they play on the road. Doesn't change the fact that you need a goalie to steal a game or two, but still not all on him.

Alright I've issued infractions to about 5 of you. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal but I've explicitly asked you guys to keep these conversations focused about 4 or 5 times now since the start of the New Year.

I applaud the organic discussion but there are vastly more appropriate places to discuss them at than in the NHL PLAYOFFS DISCUSSION thread. It's such a simple request really. Baffles me as to why a section of you (looking at our resident Habs and Devils fans) can't get with the program.

The Devils had 12 home wins in 02-03 on route to a cup win, they only lost 1 home game ( in the ECF )
