Trades
1.
TOR
  1. DeBrusk, Jake
  2. Haula, Erik
Additional Details:
Leafs save about 3 million in cap, add two top 9 forwards who can move up or down.
BOS
  1. Tavares, John ($2,000,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Boston didn't replace Krejci last year. Tavares at 9 million would be more than capable of replacing his production. He and Hall have the potential to develop good chemistry on that second line.
2.
TOR
  1. 2023 5th round pick (CBJ)
3.
TOR
  1. 2022 2nd round pick (TOR)
4.
TOR
  1. Crouse, Lawson [RFA Rights]
ARI
  1. Mrázek, Petr
  2. Robertson, Nicholas
  3. 2022 1st round pick (TOR)
5.
TOR
  1. Zacha, Pavel [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Devils could use another defenceman and the Leafs need to clear some cap space. It was between Muzzin and Brodie and Brodie is at this stage in his career the more appealing option for teams.

Bruins would need coyle to be coming the other way to take 9 mil JT. Obv some pieces would need to be added but bruins dont have extreme cap luxuries either

that tavares trade is so bad for toronto and hes not going anywhere so get over it, tavares was unbelievable in the playoffs , but as per usual leafs fans always need a scapegoat

In games 5 and 6 Tavares showed up, no question. He was a difference maker in those games. But what about games 2, 4, and 7?

And it's not about making a scapegoat out of anyone. Tavares is a great player. But no team can have three 11 million dollar forwards and succeed. It's simple math. And I would rather trade Tavares than Marner or Nylander.

I’m a Devils fan who thinks while Zacha can be frustrating, he does often get underrated.

I also think Leafs could do better in a Brodie trade.

Ideally he stays and Muzzin goes. But who wants Muzzin at his age with his injuries?

I don't think the Leafs can keep both and resign Campbell. Leafs need that extra 5 million.

well good thing they dont have to trade any one of them and wont, this year was an absolute positive for the leafs. they took the team who hasnt lost in 3 years to 7 games and it was decided on the backs of two garbage calls and one goal. they were the better team. they are going to tinker the edges of the roster and probably add a top 6 guy. tampa vs toronto was a SCF level series, unfortunate it happened in round one. thank god dubas isnt gonna react off emotions. this team proved that theyre right there, stay the course.
