I love the Alzner signing, but I think he may ask for 5plus. Not crazy about Polak as McIlrath is basically the same guy, but cheaper and younger. Zibanejad is a good looking player, but I think he fits as a second liner at best, so giving up all that doesn't seem prudent to me...but that's just me. I like the trading of Bouwmeester, but I feel a trade deadline deal might bring in a kings ransom as he has term left on his contract, so I'd wait and see on that one. Someone always overpays.

Thanks for the feedback, I wanted to add Polak for a veteran presence for either Walman or Dunn and to make sure they feel comfortable. I agree with the Bouwmeester logic, I just had to make space for Alzner so I moved him hypothetically during the draft.

Don't like the Polak idea. Might as well keep Bortuzzo if you want that type of guy.

The problem with trading away Bouwmeester is that he has a no trade clause so you have to make sure he'll want to go to the other team, as well as make sure the team can make it work cap wise. Columbus already has 71 mil dedicated to the cap next season, so they would probably ask the Blues to take Jack Johnson in exchange if they think Bouwmeester is the superior player.
I think Zibanejad is an interesting pick up, but seeing as the Rangers just traded for him last offseason, they might want to keep him and trade away someone like Stepan who has a higher cap hit.

I would love to see Josh Anderson in a Blues uniform though. I think he's going to be basically a faster version of Wayne Simmonds.

One guy to keep an eye on in the Blues system is Adam Musil. Never seen as a big name guy, but he's been impressive for the Wolves in the playoffs.
