@BluesTheGreats Campbell would I feel, Mikheyev is 1 year so what does it matter the price, and Giroux takes a discount for the leafs because he is from Toronto

Giroux's closer to Ottawa than Toronto, if he wanted to go home he'd come back to Philly or go to Ottawa

I think it depends if Mikheyev still wants to leave. He did put in a trade request last summer so wether or not he still feels that way I guess we will have to wait and see.

I don't think Mikheyev wants out anymore, he wanted a more offensive role hence the request, he'll likely be on the second line next season with Tavares and Nylander and tons of powerplay/penalty kill time. Don't know if Kerfoot is on the second line next season, or if he's even with the Leafs

just because Dubas can get 39 year olds from Toronto to sign for cheap deals doesn't mean that Giroux is gonna take a pay cut to go from a really strong regular season team that got bounced in the 2nd round to go to a less strong regular season team that can't even make it to 2nd round to begin with.
