One of the more undervalued player types in the NHL are guys who aren’t good finishers but who consistently make the little plays that drive possession and give star players more opportunities to score. Examples: Jordan Eberle, Puljujarvi , Nichuskin, Niederreter

Nill is just burying is own grave, as much as he is sometimes good, he cannot get a good coach to save his life. And it could cost him his job.

I cannot wait till the day DET rolls out Soderblom, Seider, and Edvinsson on the ice. Just massive dudes who can all skate

He goes between the legs almost as much as Matthew Tkachuk lol, pretty decent hands around the net for a big man

So Patrik Allvin has made two player for pick trades during his career. He traded Hamonic for a 3rd, and Motte for a 4th. Then he has also traded a 3rd for Dermott.

I can't get a read on this guy, He absolutely shafted Dorion with the Hamonic trade but in comparison to that got absolutely shafted by Drury in that Motte trade. Dermott trade was probably about right in terms of value.

Just thinking out loud lol.

Sounds like every average GM in the league lol. One good, one bad, one fine. Rinse and repeat. Just wait until he starts making actual impactful trades, and see if his bad big trade ends up worse than his good big trade.

yup, Jim Hiller was terrible anyways. I think Lambert has the potential to be Brindamour 2.0, I trust him to build a competent staff.

Imo VAN should be doing big moves this offseason. Partly because they're so bang average, it's basically the worst position to be in. Either commit to a rebuild or build a contender, it's never a good idea to stay in between.

Just based on these moves I think he's not the guy for that kind of job.

I guess it depends. If he blows it up, it seems like he’ll pull a Dorion and get a surprisingly good amount for Boeser (EK65), surprisingly little for Miller (Stone), and bang average return for Garland (Duchene). Or switch them around. But he probably won’t get ripped off 3 times, and probably won’t hit on all 3 trades.

I'd switch Miller and Boeser around but yeah.

That Boeser QO is an issue, there won't be many teams even able to take that contract in.

He’s a Goalie guru. besides Barzal and Pelech/Pulock pair , I’d say Korn is #3 MVP over the last 4 years. What he did with Lehner/Greiss/Varlamov is incredible .
