Nashville paid a 2nd round pick for Lauzon, Lauzon has not shown any offensive capabilities and is meh defensively, should not get 4 years, especially if at 2mil

He’s old and desperate to win a cup. It’s not gonna happen, but he’s not gonna live through another rebuild so he keeps going back to the same core, trying to shove a square peg in a round hole.

Basically Borocop but not as good as Borocop. And Borocop is a 3rd pair guy. Lauzon probably doesn’t rank higher than #8 on the depth chart of a good team.

His strategy of locking up young players on long-term deals (Josi, Arvidsson, Jarnkrok) isn't as effective as it used to be since it just seems like his FO has lost the ability to find those high-potential guys that they can extend on those kind of deals.

$2 005 000? might be thinking 500k more ($2 500 000) but you have the right idea
merrill deal seems just a bit high though, i'd want to make sure its a buriable deal
