Were a team

Created by: Napparific
Team: 2022-23 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: May 22, 2022
Published: May 22, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Heard the leafs and ducks had talked shop on Gibson before... Wondering about the acquisition cost. Mrazek is included just to make money work, but if that was a no go for the ducks he could be removed from the trade and the leafs could add a 1st + later round picks to get cap retention from the ducks

Boy little bit of editing. Kerfoot sucks I don't see Anaheim taking him. Certainly won't take Mrazek. Big no no there. Eliminate both of them you might be a little closer.

?? Kerfoot doesn't suck lol, Anaheim could absolutely use him. Mrazek, as I explained, is for money to work. Otherwise there could be additional picks for cap retention

I know with cap space its hard but even in this instance if I'm Toronto I just re-sign Soup rather than making huge changes that I don't think improve the situation anyway.

Gibson numbers have been bad. Dont know why your trading that much for a .904% goalie. Gibson half retain for 2nd round pick kerfoot and mrazek.

If WAR models were actual predictors of hockey the leafs would've won a cup this century

no not really. Obviously this is season for 1. It is a good predictor of season, but playoffs is a psychological thing. So I would have to disagree.
