Sorry but:

Ducks say Thanks but no thanks.

Wings say thanks but no thanks.

Gibson is not coming that cheap, may no be the best goalie but he is worth more to Ducks then what you gave up

Bert is a solid player but Wings not doing any favors and taking the Mrazek contract, plus Nylanser needs top center to be effective and right now Wings have only one true top.center and alot of players who need that.

Unlike the other wings fans, I value nylander a lot and would take this deal.

Yzerman would run to the bank with that trade, the buyout on Mrazek is affordable so they might even opt to keep him for the year and reunite him with Ned. Nylander's trade value is much greater than Bertuzzi's and would be flipped for a massive haul (probably two roster players that end up having point per game production along with picks and prospects like the Mantha trade but times 2 in terms of value that he gets back) either in the off-season or during the season.

Who knows, maybe Nylander would get a 100 point season in a larger role in Detroit with less pressure.

I've seen some Nylander trades from what I presume are from Leafs fans that are worse. Dubas would want much more than what he got for Kapanen (who was a cap casualty/dump).

NYLANDER IS VERY GOOD WITH ALL STAR TALENT, BUT WHAT WOULD HE BE WITH THE RED WINGS TALENT, AN UNKNOWN, ALSO MRAZEK IS BAD, THAT CONTRACT IS BAD AND ANYONE COULD HAVE CLAMINED HIMFOR NOTHING,

Same with Tyler Johnson last year but in the off-season he was trade. It would have made no-sense for Detroit to have claimed him. Now they can decide to use him since Greiss is coming off the books (3m), maybe has a bounce back. Worst case they buy him out next off-season and the penalty would be less then. So why would they do the trade? Because of the value they would be getting with Nylander. Bertuzzi's cap isn't that much cheaper than Nylander's (Detroit has 10m already and don't need to sign a ton of people until after Bertuzzi/Nylander's contracts expire). Let's pretend Bertuzzi was a point per game (he wasn't), so was Nylander and he played more games, and Nylander has a better track record. If Yzerman is worried Nylander would have a down year in Detroit, he could flip him right away. His worst offer would probably be a good player or two because of the cap from TB and picks. Maybe the trade starts with Killorn+Cirelli if Detroit has someone who can somewhat replace Cirelli and is an rfa.

Nah I don't think so, cap dump and nylander is fair for bertuzzi.

Just compare their career stats, past seasons stats, when their contracts expire, and the difference between their cap hits, and ages. After looking at the similarities and differences, it should be quite obvious that Nylander would have a much higher trade value than Bertuzzi even if you ignore the fact that Nylander is considered elite talent and extremely skilled. His lack of physicality or laziness is not going to stop Yzerman from making the trade, if he trades him before the season or before the deadline is a different story. Yzerman can probably pull off a 3-way trade and get much more than he would trading Bertuzzi. He can call up Brisebois or other GMs that he is close with and work out a preliminary deal before trading for Nylander
