Tough for anyone to know. Sweeney said he plans to extend him. If bergeron comes back i think they’re forced to shop him for something that can become a top center. That means a grade A center prospect, or a high pick.

I feel like, if Bergeron comes back, it's to make 1 final run...I don't think you can trade future Anaheim Duck David Pastrnak if that's the case...

One thing Sweeney is really good at is retaining the services of the players he wants to keep.

Pastrnak is likely either traded this summer once bergeron makes his decision, or he stays in boston long term.

I think Sweeney sucks and will keep him regardless. I think if Bergeron retires they should 100% move Pastrnak.

Without bergeron they’ll be stuck in mediocrity. That top pair will be too good to allow them to be bad, and a lack of any top line centers will prevent them from being good.

Are they shopping Pasta? Unlikely. Even at the end of this seasons pressers Sweeney said as soon as they can talk extension (per CBA rules) they would. He also went on to say Pasta has not indicated that he doesn't want to stay I'm Boston.

A lot if this trade talk is fans speculating that if Bergeron doesn't return then Boston blows it up. Seeing as Pasta is a UFA after next year people draw conclusions.
