What do the Sabres need to add

Created by: nhldeadline2
Team: 2021-22 Los Angeles Kings
Initial Creation Date: May 23, 2022
Published: May 23, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Grans for Johnson consensus seems to be a fairly even swap righty for lefty.

Olofsson gets knocked for his 5v5 play but he's gotten better there each of the last two years. Sheltered on a line with Kopitar or other responsible forwards he's fine. But his biggest value added is on the PP where LA ranked bottom 5 for the season.

But Olofsson might be the better fit for what LA needs and that adds value. Hey I like Olofsson and would resign him, but he could really be a good fit there. His shot is lethal.

And they can find someone better without giving out one of their best two-way players that's locked into a really good deal. If you have followed anything about the Kings you would know they are far more likely to trade some of the young guys and/or futures for an upgrade rather than an Iafallo.

They could, not my trade proposal. And like I said rather sign Olofsson.

Let's say Asplund develops on his great yr, and is locked up to a deal. You trading him for Kempe (who I personally think is better than Olofsson)?

The trade makes sense for the Kings, it doesn't for the Sabres. They're stacked with 2 way forwards and desperate for scoring and PP help. For the sake of your hypothetical though, if the the Sabres were in the same boat with a shrinking window to make a cup run with their current core, I'd absolutely consider it.
