Top pairing defenders cost lots of money, sure but the panthers are trying to contend still as far as i know, replacing his bargain deal with a more expensive boat anchor is a bad idea

Hes worth it for the way he played the past couple seasons, and if he keeps that up for a 3rd, like he's expected to, he'll get it. One mediocre playoffs doesnt change that.
I know how bad chariot was, i both watched the games and checked the starts. He is not good, and even without the weegar factor, giving him that contract under any circumstances would be a horrible idea. And as i said before, i hope Florida does or because it would be funny

Chiarot was pretty awful with the Panthers. Of the defense pairs to play at least 30 minutes of five-on-five ice time for Florida this postseason, the two with the worst shot and expected goal rates against feature him.

And in the regular season, he played like a third-pairing guy, too
