There a few guys that I have seen fall in mock drafts and I wonder how high we could climb with a package around our 2nd rounder (#37 overall) and Pavel Zacha. Can add other little pieces too, but that would be base of it.

#37 value - I am using the Athletic draft pick trade chart, so 37th pick = 2.3.

Zacha value - unclear what his contract demands are, but am guessing small raise, so probably $3.5m x 3-4 years. The trade comp I have been using is Sam Bennett last year from Calgary to Florida, who went for a late 2nd rounder (#60) plus prospect (Heineman). The 60th pick has a value of 1.2, Heineman maybe equal to mid-3rd rounder, so say 0.8. So if Bennett = 1.2 + 0.8 = 2.0 maybe Zacha around the same.

37th pick (2.3) + number 37 (2.0) = 4.3

Anyone in that neighborhood a fit for this type of deal? Going as high as 17 seemed high to me, but maybe someone in the 20’s?
