I’m used to the Jets sucking. Boston will be better than the Leafs next year

No offence that makes zero sense for the devils. Look at their left side lol. Graves, Siegenthaler, Hughes and Smith. Sandin can't play the right hence why I gave back RHD to NJD and added a prospect plus a 2nd.

Solid value for a goalie coming off a dreadful season, that Toronto hopes can help rebound

If Kerfoot wore any other Jersey everyone would be calling him 2023 "Blake Coleman or Barclay Goodrow"

But the trade needs to make sense. NJD doesn't need help on the left side. They need help on the right side. Sandin doesn't fill that void. Plus they need defenders that are strong defensively. I love Sandin but he isn't there as yet defensively and Holl is better defensively currently.

I barely did here. The same defence comes back only secondary options are changed, and goaltending.

Also a couple of prospect promotions for depth

If kerfoot came in a jersey that had just hoisted the cup in back to back seasons, MAYBE everyone would be calling him that

If he is so good, then why are you giving up a first to sign domi? Is max domi that much better than him?

I mean y'all said that about the Leafs this year. The Leafs had 115 point season with bottom 6 goaltending in the league. They were a top 8 defensive team and top 3 offensive team.

The Leafs are the only legitimate challenge in the east for the Lighting and their fans would agree.

You think that Kerfoot is going to be the next J. T. Miller? Never mind the fact that he's a rental, and Miller was traded with FOUR SEASONS left on his deal.

Except Goodrow was less than a mil cap hit with multiple years on his deal and it was literally the last pick in the 1st round. Interesting you think you can get a 1st for essentially a cap casualty in Kerfoot but can dump double the cap from Mrazek for a 2nd in two seasons.

Because his value is at its Highest point and we need different kinds of players to compliment our stars. We need someone with speed and with a solid shot to compliment Nylander as Tavares is a little to slow currently to keep up.

FYI the argument about how if Kerfoot won back to back cups his value would be different is silly. Coleman and Goodrow trades were clowned on because they weren't the type of players you give up 1st rounders for but because they won cups they are now worth multiple, although Tampa's stars were really the ones carrying the load. Do you see the flaw?

Again I'm using it as a comparable. Contending teams don't want use draft picks that will take multiple yrs to develop. At 18th overall Kerfoot is the kind of player you hope to draft for. Why wait multiple yrs for a Kerfoot type when you can get one currently. Again I said it once and I'll say it again. If Kerfoot didn't wear a Leaf on his chest y'all really won't be complaining.

Yes a 50 point player without any power play time and was a key member on a top 10 pk unit is a cap casualty...

If you think that tampas third line of goodrow-gourde-coleman were not an extremely important part of why they won back to back cups then you are truly showing how little you know.

NJD imo doesn't really get shafted. They got Daws and Bernier. Blackwood had a dreadful season and his value is at his lowest. Its more of a leap of faith for Toronto.

Ik Kerfoot gets a lot of flack but have y'all watched Kerfoot play? He got 50 points with no pp time, and was a key member of the pk which was top 8 in the league. Dallas needs more plays that can play with speed, push the pace and is great defensively. He had a GSVA (game score average) of 1.5 this year. That a top line player.

Kucherov, Point and Vash were the reason why they won. That line did there part, but everyone acts like Coleman and Goodrow are the reasons.

Here's my question to you now. If those players were so important why is Tampa having so much success with a completely different 3rd line?

Bernier is injured and his future is a question mark. Daws is far from good enough to be a 1G. Blackwood is stiil, despite having a bad year riddled with injuries, easily their best goalie. It makes no sense whatsoever for them to deal him now unless they get a goalie back.

Spending a first for Kerfoot is going to end up similar mistake MTL spending their first for Dvorak ended up being. Plus he's a rental. I'd much rather keep that pick and sign a free agent of his level at little higher money than he's got. Kerfoot will not land Leafs a first, not even close.

Because neither of their opponents thus far haven't been teams that have massive physical advantage against TB, which was exactly what those three brought in.

TOR is very skilled but a soft team. FLA was pure sh*t in almost every possible way.

The third line's value especially manifested itself against a team like Isles who had lot of brawn in them.

I will bet money he will land a 1st. Again like I said with Kerfoot being a Swiss army knife, getting 50 points either even strength or on the PK will make him extremely valuable to any team, no matter if he UFA at the end of the season. Just because he's a Leaf everyone think poorly of him lol.

Again Jersey might look as the odd-man out Blackwood especially with the unvaccinated story at the beginning of the season with him. Again he's coming off a poor season. Jersey has big decisions to make and they make a bold move.
