Trading trevor Moore,Sean Durzi and grundstrom for an injury prone d man was a good move ?

You dont even know the damned trade! Moore was traded for Campbell and Clifford. And yes Trading a pair of ok prospects and a late 1st for Muzzin who didnt get injured until over a year later is a good move

Seriously it’s bizarre. How do people get joy out of starting crap on the internet with strangers?

Has a 10 million dollar player won a cup? Obviously there’s an issue there,

the muzzin trade was a clear good move for the leafs. like obviously so

leafs fans are making no stop posts trying to dump him lol

durzi looks pretty good right now. not to mention the 1st and grundstrom. could have had hometown kids tomasino or mcmichael with that pick

I think you might be because paying 17 million to Tavares and muzzin is so bad in hard cap league

There's quite a few here that don't understand what being a troll is.. Its not someone posting an ACGM that you dont like but hurling insults in the comments and being in general an asshole and a snob to ppl just having fun. These ppl dont have any tact and think because they are getting likes from burners or other toxic posters that live here, they are somehow absolved

you do realise that the trade didnt happen this year, right? He's been a leaf for over 3 seasons. A player having injury issues from bad hits years later doesnt make a trade a bad one

all of which was foreseeable. an old physical dman breaks down and prospects and picks develop into decent young players.

Do you get paid to just come here and criticize anyone who dares to critique this team? Is there some kind of job that actually employs you to be a stooge and just cheerleader “rah rah Leafs are perfect”? Because it’s all you do on this site. I hope MLSE is paying good money because otherwise it’s pretty disturbing that a person will go through all this effort to spend all their time on a website criticizing strangers who don’t agree with you.

For his sake i hope so. I see him everywhere! Feel sad for this kid. Already had a laugh at his financial advice last year.

amirov was just bad luck. can't really blame dubas for that. however the rest is valid. id add the muzzin trade, and overpaying star players to that list too.

Agree, Amirov was a great pick that unfortunately isn;t going to provide the much needed player.

I would add to the weak GMing with the annual "shots in the dark" across the ocean like Lehtonen, Barbanov, Petan, Korshov, Malgin, the Russian center we signed this year, with hardly any working out. Or the usually meaningless and sometimes costly ANNUAL trades to address team toughness/physicality like Foligno, or even the multiple ridiculous moves in 21-22 to address the same problem we had in 20-21: Kurtis Gabriel, Ritchie, Simmonds, Clifford, Giordano and now Curtis Douglas.

And again after a valiant first round exit, we sit with one real KEY bluechip prospect in Robertson, just a 1st and 3rd in next 2 drafts, and no 4th, 5th, 6th this year (and lacking a 3rd in 2024). So we dont even have quality ELC to fill holes in the lineup. We have through the years developed some great depth players on mid level salaries that we cant afford. And yet most Leaf fans want to deal one of the big 4 that makes the least money.

That one decision to acquire Tavares, has limited or changed most decisions since then, and the team has not progressed.

his injuries are basically all either getting blindsided or getting his leg taken out, that's not forseeable at all. And if trading picks and prospects for older players who are physical or even have injury issues so popular?
Muzzin was very good for the leafs every year except this one, and then he was great in the playoffs and basically shut down all of tampas big guns for 7 games

this season or when kadri was traded. when kadri was traded sure. this season the big 4 did good but the goaltending sucked. overall lack of grit throughout the whole team as well.

It wasn't the goaltending either. The Leafs did get the unfortunate situation of playing the favorite to win the cup and could have won had a couple things gone there way. The reffing was terrible the whole series and that had a major impact. Campbell wasn't the problem. The defence wasn't the problem the stars weren't the problem. They lost a coin toss against a team that looks like they are destined to threepeat.

But Crosby was making 8.7 when the cap was just 73 million

amazing, you are literally trying to spin getting free cheap players who might develop into something or who are marlies as a bad thing. Just incredible. The Korskov part is my favourite, he was drafted by Hunter under Lou

campbell blew. he's not a starting goalie. the defense sucked and the leafs don't have the grit. they are a one trick pony but their one trick is scoring goals so it's not all bad. they need to make changes.

Good call, I’m just a believer in 80s islanders philosophy of building a team to win 4 different types of series, goalie steals one, 5vs5, special teams and physical. Just not completely sold that the leafs have what it takes to win all 4. 5vs5 and special teams covered, other two will be forever argued. Just so tough also when so much dough goes to so few, to bring what is needed, especially young and hungry.
