Selling Ty Smith way too low and giving up on him, meanwhile the Wild trade doesn't give up nearly enough. None of that hurts to get a great player.
I'm not on the Fiala train, but if it would happen, it'll hurt. I feel like a player I do see mentioned in those trades is Sharangovich. He's cheap, but has shown where he can be very dangerous. I love Yegor personally, but I just have a feeling he'd be a big part of that trade and the Wild would be better for it. I can't put him as part of the absolute core they need to try and keep together, where as I would say that for Mercer more so. He would also help keep Minn relevant unlike a 1st next year.
Maybe Wild fans don't know enough about Sharangovich, and that's fine, but I know any trade would have to hurt and for Minnesota's sake, they'd probably want relevant current players now to keep them in the running best they can while they suffer through cap hell.
