Let’s hear it

Give:
Best offer from your team
Best realistic offer from another team

Either, both, whatever

Right now, this is the lineup with Slafkovsky, who is probably the favorite to be picked #2 (if he even gets to #2).

UPDATE: the Devils team needs are the following (quotes are the terminology our GM has used):

1. A goaltender “to compete with” Blackwood
2. “Heavier skill” at forward
3. “Big, mobile” dmen

It might be helpful to list what your team needs and what your team is willing to move as part of the deal (cap dumps, roster players, etc).

As much as I would like the 2nd pick, I don't think DET is a good fit for NJ to trade with here if you're looking for NHL ready players. I'd probably propose something along the lines of Albert Johansson (likely NHL ready after his solid SHL playoff run) + Fabbri/Suter + 8oa but that package likely doesn't push the needle for NJ.

And the more I think about it, I think trading for Mercer would be a better idea for Detroit to try. I'm thinking the trade talk would start with Vrana or Bertuzzi for Mercer.

Habs: 1st round from flames, 2nd round from habs, Sean farell, Allen 50% retained and Florida's 1st next year is what i'd realistically offer, but on the other hand, if i really wanted slaf, josh anderson, both calgary and florida's first along w allen and edmundson both 50% retained. def overpayment tho

from MTL:

Joel Armia
Jake Allen
Kaiden Guhle
2022 1st round pick (CGY)

this is very insufficient but i tried to meet the team needs, but it appears that MTL probably isnt a fit for 2OA

Spencer Martin: Great goalie who has got points in every single game he’s played
Jason Dickinson: Really big and got skill at forward
Tyler Myers: Big, mobile dman like you described!

But realistically, there’s no way the Canucks can make a trade for the 2nd overall pick (aside from Hughes and Demko)

as far as the habs are concerned, I would start with a package centred around Suzuki, the devil's pick of Romanov or Harris (young LD), and Jake Allen. I know with Nico and jack a center isn't the best but Suzuki has played RW at many points throughout his career and could slot in with Hughes and Bratt on the top line. Jake Allen will naturally compete with blackwood for that #1 role, Allen (who IMO) is one of the most underrated goalies in the league, will help greatly. if it's necessary, Calgary's first-round pick could be a part of the deal too. we want tatar back though, need me some tuna.

For me as a Stars fan the deal would probably be centered around Lindell+Gurianov+name a prospect you want from Dellandrea/Stankoven/Bourque+the 18th overall pick.

Just wondering that none of those forwards included constitute as "heavier skill" assuming that means NJ is after a power forward

What about 15+Boeser (contract agreed upon) + kicker?

I was thinking that, but it was to Philly. 15th + Boeser for 5th. Not sure if anything should be added

Bertuzzi has less value because of his vax status but vrana gor Mercer would be a very close to fair trade, the only 2 things are Mercer us young and he is a center and wingers are easier to get then centers

Yep, I thought you'd say that about Bertuzzi, and I was hoping you'd say that about Vrana. I don't know about valuing Mercer as a C from NJ's perspective because your org is chock full of C's that can displace Mercer to the wing. But I would love it if something could be worked out like this, although I do absolutely love having Vrana.

I think Francis would drool at the chance to have 2 top picks in the draft, pull in Cooley and Nemec (probably) with 2nd and 4th picks, really set up the future of the franchise.

My idea:
To NJD: D Soucy OR Dunn; G Driedger; 35th Overall; 59th Overall; + ? +
TO SEA: 2nd Overall; F Kuokkanen; + ?

As a start . . . ???

Suzuki or Caufield would be the only way to get the talks started. I would do Suzuki, Romanov, and a 2022 3rd for #2

It really depends on what YOU mean by "1. A goaltender “to compete with” Blackwood 2. “Heavier skill” at forward 3. “Big, mobile” dmen".

What are some examples of those players you're looking for? Not necessarily all from the same team.
