Description
couple of trades of varying values for Joel Edmundson. not necessarily my idea of his worth but a bit of a spectrum. where do you think his value is? whats your best offer for him either straight up or in a package? I'm personally a big fan of the NYR trade, I think that one is pretty alright

i know this trade is still TERRIBLE for edmonton, massive L... BUT turbo kenny holland is the same man that traded bear and jones so he could have duncan keith and extend tyson barrie. the man just has no clue about defence. also jumbo joel is a great room guy AND has size, the wet dream of the boys club. allen is very good too, he will (should) become the defacto starter for the oilers, so at least they get something from this one

I would cry if Holland did that. Bouchard is way too good to trade!

I so agree, another year like this one and the lie between him and Nurse is getting thin. future #1 D on the way, he plays the right side too, literally a dream come true in players form.

He's our next captain so why trade him?

It is a dream come true! His offensive game is off the charts, his defensive game is very good too. The main thing he needs to work on is turn overs, but he’s getting better at it, and most of the time he fixes his mistakes! His slap shot is probably one of the best in the league too. I hope we never trade him!

if I don't get to see gally wear the C I will actually lose my mind, he is the heart and soul of the team. even though he sucks and is massively overpaid, Gally needs the C. furthermore, I would imagine he has pretty high value. in my mid he's one of our better contracts too, only 3.5 for a player like him is a steal.

So you mad a bad trade with the Oilers because you believe Holland would make that trade? What valuable pieces did Holland give up to get Keith or Kulak?

I think he could go for a 2nd straight up, but I also doubt the Habs are looking to trade him for "fair value".

Why trade him now? Wait for 2024 trade deadline and trade him for same return as Chiarot.

The Edmonton trade is just plain silly. There's no excuse for that.

Do you really think Allen would become the Oilers starter on merit? Have you not been paying attention at all?

Wouldn't want Devils to trade for Edmundsson.
Don't think he's better than any of Siegenthaler, Smith or Graves.

its not even about valuable pieces, giving up literally anything for Keith is a loss. could've been kassian for Keith straight up and it would still be an oilers loss

Ok that is ridiculous. Keith has provided much needed leadership to this team and has played his part in getting this team to go from pretender to contender.

played his role by holding the oilers back maybe. nothing that anybody could say will ever justify that trade. even if the oilers luck their way into a cup this offseason it will still be a lost trade. just about every single metric tells you that duncan keith is bad at hockey. he had almost twice the giveaways when compared to his takeaways, had a negative GAx, had an on ice XG EIGHT POINTS lower than off ice XG. his defence was awful, his offence was worse, he's a terrible person, and he is not an NHLer anymore. no amount of "intangibles" will ever change that.

I do not care in the least about “metrics”. They are pointless and have no impact on the game.

Your "stats" are incorrect. http://naturalstattrick.com/playerteams.php?fromseason=20212022&thruseason=20212022&stype=2&sit=5v5&score=all&stdoi=oi&rate=r&team=EDM&pos=D&loc=B&toi=0&gpfilt=none&fd=&td=&tgp=410&lines=single&draftteam=ALL
