Seattle 22-23 Tank Mockup

Created by: Halfy
Team: 2022-23 Seattle Kraken
Initial Creation Date: May 25, 2022
Published: May 25, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Season 1 is done and dusted and it was not the second coming of Vegas. Why not try to sell off a bit and play some younger talent to give you a shot at Bedard, Michkov et al.? They'll probably be there anyways but Bedard is worth wasting a season for, especially with Fantilli, Mihckov, Benson, Dvorsky etc all looking great. Please, take this incredibly serious as all these moves would be completed 100% by both teams. Impossible that any of the trades and/or signings would be rejected. I expect this lineup to look exactly like this next season.

Plus, you have the perfect coach to tank with XD

Grab a million seconds and find some cheap skilled players with upside. Also see if you can grab some free players on bad contracts to acquire more picks.

The isles have 3 top pair caliber defenseman, they don’t need to trade a 2nd for soucy. They can just sign Kulak/Cole or trade a 3rd or 4th for Reilly.

Edmonton declines. They already have 2 better goalies signed for next year for less money than Driedger makes.

Yup, this is too rich for Soucy. I'd rather trade a 3rd for Reilly or sign Ian Cole for a year.

pretty sure this team is under the floor - I'd make a deal for Soucy if we can throw Bailey back out their way. not sure what the margins look like, but that's how i'd centerpiece it.

Oh I would for sure give a 2nd if it means Bailey goes the other way lol. I’d even include Bellows. Bellows,Bailey and a 2nd for Soucy.

Yes, the team is definitely below the cap floor. That's why they'd need to add some bad contracts. So this example I'm sure would work for this type of build.

Ken Holland may panic when Smith leaves IMO. I have no faith in that man. McDavid (and Draisaitl) is going to do all he can to carry that franchise.

    A) Smith isn't leaving
    B) Holland doesn't panic

Ya, so remind me how giving up a first round pick to acquire yet another third line center helps replace Bergeron?

If coyle retires along with bergeron, maybe a 6th for wennberg.
