down town connor brown

Created by: leafs101
Team: 2022-23 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: May 25, 2022
Published: May 25, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Give Jost a massive opportunity and try JT on the wing. Can always move back to this if not

Brown - Matthews - Nylander
Bunting - JT - Marner
Mikky - Kampf - Jost/Kase/Engvall
J/K/E - Spezza/Blackwell - J/K/E

Minny gets the better player no doubt that can maybe provide options and offence at C, Leafs get a better cap hit, cost control, and a pick. Jost is a good 2 way bottom 6 player right now that would fit in even if a top 6 potential-revitalization attempt is failed.

Schenn is worth more to Vancouver than moving up in the draft.

Holl trade seems like fair value, but idk if the devils will be interested in him. Personally, I’d like to see them give Walsh a shot next year.

I don’t think MN does this. We’re shedding salary, not adding it.

could be a 2023 TDL trade as well if the Canucks playoff hopes aren't looking particularly great

right, but if they want an upgrade up the middle at an affordable cost (+1.5M, no major assets traded) I could easily see them looking into Kerfoot. Provided they can't land one of the bigger fish out there

yea. Just figured PK is gone, Severson could very well be traded and then Holl would be a good stop gap on the second pair, or third pair, or even as a 7th D in case of injury. But I do figure someone would take up the offer, Holl for late 4th or early 5th

They’d for sure have to move Fiala but then also another piece. I’m not sure Billy wants to do that, but you never know.

No reason for VAN to move Schenn, unless it is a massive overpay.

Don't think this quite makes sense for the Sens, if they are willing to trade him for futures, then if they retain 50%, they'll be able to fetch more than a mid-late 1st for Brown, and they shouldn't even trade him for futures anyways
