whole point of MTL getting 2OA is for slafkovsky to be on suzuki and caufield's wing. if caufield is traded then its no win no loss so it doesnt make sense

Suzuki / Caufield / Romanov is unavailable for any trade, they are the franchise core building future.

It's no interest to go get second overall pick but to lost one of biggest rebuild piece.

Devils fan here- no.

Caufield is awesome don't get me wrong, but he is no where near the value thats being represented here where only adding a 2nd round pick is enough for the 2nd overall pick. 2nd round picks are not as valuable in the real world as they are in games like Chel.

If the general consensus is that Fiala ain't work the 2nd overall alone, Caufield + a 2nd rounder sure as hell isn't.

The Minnesota Wild will trade Fiala to the New Jersey Devils or the Ottawa senators for a first round pick and 2 prospects at this year’s draft. There’s a chance that he’ll be traded.
