I don’t see the Devils trading 2OA for a goaltender, and a move back. I like Helle a lot, but I just don’t see it in the cards with a pick that high

Would Daws+37OA make sense! That would mean minus the Winnipeg 1st

I’d love to get Ehlers, but I’m not moving Sillinger to get him, adding another top 6 wing and subtracting a center is a horrid idea for Columbus. They need to get better down the middle.

My alternative motive was making it easier to get a laine signature by bringing his best buddy to town.

Key would be the 2oa to kick start the rebuild with the moving on from helly, adding the ability to add a 1a or 1b Center for the rebuild. Possibly a add on Winnipegs side to make it work.

Connor is the incentive and the moving on from zaitzev is the hopeful moving the line.

Ehlers is also good friends with Bjorkstrand too, but Columbus can’t afford to move Sillinger, hes really the only center prospect we have and we have too many wings. It would leave Roslovic and Jenner as the top 2 centers in Columbus with no real top 6 center prospects. Johnson is a LW, not a center.

wheeler makes twice as much as Zeitsev, OTT has player to pay and no room for wheeler and Jets are 20M under the cap, they would need wheeler more

Good call, just wishful thinking on my part to stack up the Center ice in Winnipeg. Sillinger is going to be a good one.

Goal was to clear the wheeler number and then the build got out of hand lol. Distractions lost focus and got rather random players back for Dubois also. Never claimed to be good at this lol

Sens won't have much difficulty dumping Zaitsev regardless this summer imo. I'd look for other Options than Connor if Wheeler is tied to the deal. Maybe not a better player out there than Connor, but I do not want Wheeler.

I want Ehlers in Columbus, but the best offer I could come up with would be some combination of Texier or Boqvist and picks for him though. Sillinger just looks too good to risk.

Wow. That's a good way to drive away even more fans from the Jets. I don't understand why people think making bad trades will improve the team.

The goal was a sillinger/2oa Center to kick start the rebuild, but obviously lots of different approach if they could get the 2oa to start and different paths from there to kick start the rebuild.

Make a build that gets the jets in better shape than 4/5 in the central, status quo keeps them bubbling, but enjoy the player milestone nights.

Well it's different I'll give you that. But this would certainly push the Jets into contention for 7/8.

Bedard swing, need a franchise changer, if scheifeles days are numbered.

I’m a little scared of a Dubois without scheifele, especially with a 8x8 thrown around. Little different world when your 1a without 1b. Will be interesting off season

Risky bc Scheifele is only signed for 2years,
but I’d do it

I hear ya'. That's why I don't understand why so many people think the Jets will move Scheifele with a winger as the main piece coming back.

The Jets know how hard it is to get 2 legit top 6 centers, I don't see them rushing to put themselves in that position again. Unless Scheifele really starts making noise, I think the most likely scenario is that he stays a Jet until management no longer has a choice.

Scheifele possibly reups, so close to Ontario hometown, and back in the east, heard a ton of good things about krebs and his work ethic and leadership, will be interesting how is skill and size truly plays when he gets some time in.
