Description

Not many people know this but if keith retires after this season the oilers actually get 3.4mill in bonus cap space and the hawks would end up with a 7m cap hit!

So if he were to retire the oilers would actually have 17 Million in Cap space to play with for kane a goalie, JP, and Yamo

Totally forgot about this, I remember people speculating/hoping that this was the reason edmonton traded for him. Don't think he actually retires, but I hope so, would make Kane coming back way more viable.

I would agree... unless they magically win the cup some how then i can see both hanging them up

He's not gonna retire. He has stated numerous times he wants to play until hes like 45, especially now that he's closer to home and on a good team, he genuinely doesnt have a reason to. The chances are slim to none and slim just left town.
