I would jump in the Rideau Canal in full hockey gear for DeBrincat

Debrincat pretty much exclusively plays LW. For some guys it doesn’t matter awhile lot, but given how effective Debrincat’s shot and one timers are, feels like it’s better for him to stay at LW FWIW.

Wonder how the Ottawa pays for Stutzie, DeBrincat, and Pinto, Zub and maybe Brown's new contracts in 2023.

I think if Ottawa acquires Debrincat, we can almost kiss Brown goodbye, they won't be able to afford him. As for his position, I think Ottawa would be ok having him playing LW, the Sens just need a legit top 6 player to help Stützle.

Chicago laugh at that offer for Alex Debrincat, Most of the league would blow away that offer. neither Brannstrom or Gambrell have much value. Need to offer up far better than this.

Really? Two top 10 picks, frees up 6.4m in cap for two years of controllable years of DeBrincat. I don't know why Ottawa would risk two lottery picks, for two years of the Cat.

Oh I hope this is a bad attempt at trolling? brannstrom has a lot of value as a potential top pairing dman and a 7th overall pick + a probably top 15 pick in an amazing draft class? this is debrincat, not mcdavid.

I mean tbf, he's a 40 goal scorer and he's still very young, you probably have to add a A prospect or a a B-C level prospect and an nhl player, such as Brown.

Because like i said Brannstrom and Gambrell have next to no value, DeBrincat is already better than what Ottawa could draft at 7th overall and it's not even close. They want Debrincat then they need to add better pieces then this.

Brannstrom hasn't come close to being a potential top pairing Dman. Right now he's hardly a bottom pairing LHD on a cup contender. But nice try anyways.

I gotta side with TAMPABAYLIGHTNING22 here, Brannstrom's value is at an all time low, sure he could massively improve on the Hawks, but he isn't the same Brannstrom from the Stone trade, value wise. Gambrell is just a depth player, and the 2 1st round picks are great, but they aren't enough for a 2 time 40 goal scorer who is really young.

I agree except for the Brannstrom part.

If a 7th overall and a top 15 pick in 2023 is not enough for DeBrincat, i don't know what is.

Eichel got less than that.

You didn't look at the trade. I'm not even including Brannstrom and Gambrell. It's 7th overall and a likely a lottery pick in 2023. For two years of DeBrincat.

He's an RFA at the end of his deal so it's more likely 10 years of debrincat, 6 at worst. The picks are nice but pinto, zub, stutzle would be the kind of pieces needed to get a deal done. Not all of them but DEFINITELY one of them.
